A J Ludlow Professional Watercolour Painting Set - Pembroke Castle

This A J Ludlow “All you need to paint..” Professional Watercolour painting set is designed for everybody to enjoy painting in watercolour. It has been especially created to help you master the techniques of watercolour, while experiencing the joy of using top-notch fine-art materials. Then, after enjoying the creative experience we are sure this kit will give you, the paintings can be framed and, either given to someone special as a present or displayed in your home, where everyone can enjoy them. The views are from the South Quay car park (the design in portrait orientation) and from the footpath on the opposite side of the Pembroke River, near the Ty Castell "Holliday Let" apartment (the design in landscape orientation).

Our “All you need to paint..” watercolour painting sets do contain all that’s needed to paint the two pencil drawn images on Saunders Waterford 425gsm watercolour paper. By using Cobalt Blue, Azomethine Green and Burnt Umber Professional Watercolour and 2 of our finest Chinese brushes, a traditional "White Cloud" goat hair painting brush and red hair detailing brush, both designs can be expertly painted following our individual 12-step printed painting instructions. There are also video painting demonstrations for each design available on our YouTube channel, which can be reached via dedicated QR codes. If you are a bit of a “Maverick” and have other A J Ludlow watercolours, then there is scope for you to include your own choice of sky.

Each painting has been designed to be painted with a limited palette of three colours, in order to introduce the concept of colour mixing and the various secondary and tertiary hues that can be created with the three single pigmented watercolours included (as can be seen in the chart below).

This kit contains:

One large and one small pencil drawn Pembroke Castle design on Saunders Waterford (425gsm) watercolour paper, made from 100% cotton fibres;

One Traditional Chinese "White Cloud Goat Hair Brush and one Red Hair Detailing Brush;

Three A J Ludlow Professional Watercolours in fully recyclable plastic pots – Cobalt Blue, Azomethine Green and Burnt Umber;

Full set of instructions and printed colour mixing chart, showing secondary and tertiary hues that can be mixed using the three single pigmented professional quality watercolours.
