Iron Oxide Black Pure Pigment Powder (40g)

Using only the highest-quality pure pigment, our A J Ludlow Colours’ Iron Oxide Black powder is suitable for all home-made paint formulations, including water, oil and acrylic colours, as well as solvent-based acrylic or polycarbonate resins.

Grind the pigment with A J Ludlow’s Binder and Painting medium to make home-made watercolours or alternative binding mediums, including drying oils for oil colours and oil-based paints and for three-dimensional work, solvent-based acrylic or polycarbonate resins. For home-made acrylic colours, the pigment should be ground into a wetting and dispersing additive first, in order to stabilise the pigment in the acrylic emulsion.

Iron Oxide Black pigment powder is an adduct of iron oxide and ferrous oxide. The pigment has excellent light fastness and is strongly magnetic.
