Pure Goat Hair Bamboo Handled Brush (Medium)

This Chinese brush is suitable for both Chinese brush and Japanese sumi-e painting. It is made from highly absorbent and soft goat hair, enabling the brush to hold a lot of ink/paint and so create continuous, flowing brush strokes.

The handle of this brush is made of bamboo and is a perfect shaped to fit comfortably in the hand for executing fluid brush strokes necessary for Chinese painting and calligraphy. Like most Chinese brushes, this brush has a loop on the end so that it can be hung from a brush stand to help facilitate natural drying.

Drying the brush by hanging in a vertical position helps to prolong its life, because it ensures that the hairs keep their shape once cleaned and shaped and it allows any excess moisture to run out of the head of the brush. This stops the moisture causing any rot/deterioration in the brush head over time.
